We are driven by community. With over a decade in the coffee industry, we know that the choices we make have a big impact both locally and at origin. From sourcing and roasting to packaging and delivering, we like to make the work we do count in a big way, both in our community and the far away farmers who grow our amazing coffees. We make all of our deliveries to cafes, restaurants and markets in Portland, OR, via two hundred pound capacity cargo bicycles in all weather. And we are b-corp certified. We are proud to be a part of a movement to put people and planet above profits. Her salsa became a party favorite and many asked for the recipe. On one fateful occasion, a friend of Cecilia requested four containers for a weekend party and was willing to pay for them. From this innocent request an idea was born.
Backwoods Brewing
OUR TEAM Our team of brewers and staff consists of all local family and friends. The cornerstone for our success is founded here in the camaraderie of the Backwoods family. We embrace the idea of work and play as a team. Where the Gifford Pinchot National Forest meets the Carson valley, you will find us busily brewing craft beers from the best ingredients found in the Northwest. Backwoods Brewing was founded by the Waters family in July of 2012. Prior to that, Jim Waters had taught his sons the art of home brewing before they flew the nest, but the boys came back after college with the dream of starting a brewery in their hometown. Many beer batches and napkin doodles later, with a can-do attitude and some carpentry know-how, the Waters saw their dream finally come to life. The first brews that came out of the pub were made on a small one-barrel system. However, increasing demand and growing awareness of the brew pub allowed the family to bump up to a 7-barrel, and finally the 20-barrel system that we brew on today. Our beer can be found throughout the NW, including Washington, Oregon and Idaho.

We take skiers, snowboarders and mountain bikers to iconic destinations around the world via evoTrip, our group and private travel business.
